When questioned regarding the performance of the gelding, rider J Orman explained that he was tightened for room near the 1400m by CEE EYE CEE. Rider A Thompson (CEE EYE CEE) was issued with a reprimand for this incident. Following this the gelding did not travel comfortably and he was unable to offer any tangible explanation for the disappointing performance today. A post-race veterinary examination failed to reveal any abnormality and a routine swab sample was taken. Stable foreman Mr Brett Killion was advised that EMBOSSING must trial before being permitted to race again

Rider S Cormac reported the horse was making an abnormal breathing noise on pulling up. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no obvious abnormalities, however as the horse had previously been diagnosed as a grade 4 roarer. Trainer A Chau was advised REALISED must obtain a veterinary clearance including the results of a satisfactory endoscopic examination prior to its next race start. Clearance received with endoscope revealing grade 5 (lane) laryngeal function.
