Jockey stated that near the 800m his mount was eased from heels and got its head up whilst being reluctant to settle. Further stated near the 600m his mount failed to pick up the bridle when being encouraged to improve and was disappointing in its run to the line. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities.

Stated after being unable to obtain the lead, his mount failed to travel comfortably and weakened noticeably from the 500m. Trainer was advised that the performance of the gelding which was beaten 33.9L was uncompetitive and that it must perform in an official barrier trial to the Stewards’ satisfaction prior to being permitted to race again. He added in the home straight when he was awkwardly placed on the inside of heels he was unable to obtain a clear run at that point. He further added that when he placed the filly under further pressure passing the 150m finished off well. Post-race vet - no abs.
