When questioned regarding the tactics adopted rider explained she had been instructed to ride the gelding in a positive manner and to ensure a genuine tempo was set throughout the race as the gelding is one paced. Rider added whilst she was aware of the strong tempo that was being set through the early stages of the race, the gelding appeared to be travelling comfortably within itself and from the 600m, she placed her mount under pressure in an attempt to establish a break on the main body of the field racing down the hill whereby, the gelding responded to her riding and maintained a strong ga
