Rider J Byrne reported that the gelding hung out throughout the event and proved difficult to ride and was unable to be fully tested. Lost the off hind plate in running. A post-race veterinary examination failed to reveal any abnormalities. Trainer D Forster advised Stewards that it would now be her intention to send the gelding for a spell. Stewards advised trainer D Forster that the gelding would be required to trial to the satisfaction of Stewards prior to being permitted to start in a race.

Trainer D Murphy stated that he would now be experimenting with the addition of a ring bit, however, was nonetheless advised a warning would be placed on the record of WELL WELL WELL in relation to hanging.
