Rdr reported colt raced keen early, so elected to take sit-said colt worked well into race & when asked for an effort on straightening, although momentarily lost use of reins near 200m, felt colt was somewhat disappointing-added when unsaddling colt, noticed there were some issues with both of hind plates & said this may have affected its performance. A post-race vet exam revealed colt lost n/hind plate & shifted o/hind plate, causing minor injury to hoof. Sample taken.

Trainer advised subsequently that the mare had pulled up well but would be assess by the stable veterinarian in the coming days and undertook to advise should anything become apparent. Trainer added further that consideration would be given to a gear change and further spacing of the mares runs going forward.
