When questioned re leading, rdr confirmed instructions to settle rear of field if possible, however he had some concerns from outside barrier and with no anticipated fast tempo the gelding may prove difficult to settle at rear. He said after beginning particularly well rather than restrain the gelding he allowed it to roll forward into the lead.
