Rdr std when placed under pressure in straight the gelding raced flat & did not quicken when asked for an effort. A post-race vet exam revealed no abs. Tnr said the gelding was forced to race towards the inside, which she considered to be inferior going, & agreed it may have been flat after its first-up performance. Tnr subsequently reported satisfaction with post-race condition of gelding & advised intention to give it a short freshen up before continuing current prep.
