He added the gelding travelled well throughout the early and middle stages of the event, however, approaching the 500m, when asked for an effort, his mount failed to quicken and weakened noticeable in the home straight. A post-race veterinary examination did not reveal any abnormalities. Trainer was advised would be required to barrier trial to the satisfaction of Stewards prior to racing again.
